Image of Treaties areas in what is now known as OntarioIndigenous Education Month is a time to celebrate Indigenous cultures, languages, perspectives, histories, and contemporary realities. This month and every month we work to centre Indigenous voices across curricula and to ensure all students feel supported, respected, valued, and reflected in our learning communities.

National Treaties Recognition Week
, October 31 - November 5 honours the importance of treaties and helps students and residents of Ontario and Turtle Island to learn more about treaty rights and relationships.

We acknowledge that we are on Treaty land as a sign of respect and recognize the ties and relationships Indigenous peoples have to the land. This is important to culture, ceremonies and traditions.
