The Board of Trustees and staff extend our sincere sympathies to Mrs. Goodfellow's family, friends and former colleagues.

Mrs. Goodfellow was a longtime Trustee with the Board who served the areas of Central Frontenac, Addington Highlands and North Frontenac Townships. Former
Trustee Goodfellow was first elected in 2000 and went on to serve on various committees including as both Chair and Vice Chair of the Board. She also served as Chair of the Audit, Property/Operations and Education / Human Resources Committees, and she also served as the LDSB representative with the Ontario Public School Boards' Association. Mrs. Goodfellow retired from the Board following the end of her term in 2014.

A well-known member of her community, Mrs. Goodfellow witnessed many changes in the educational landscape during her time as a public school board trustee. Through it all, she faced these challenges with a steadfast determination and an unwavering focus on what was best for our students, never letting us forget the unique conditions in the northern areas of our region. Her positive and energetic leadership-style, and common sense approach to challenges, helped the Board remain focused on our students, staff, and families of our school communities.

Mrs. Goodfellow leaves behind her husband, David Goodfellow, and children Jennifer Trussell (Steve), and Joshua (Nikki) Goodfellow as well as four grandchildren. A visitation will take place from 1-9 p.m., Tuesday, January 8 at Goodfellow's Funeral Home in Parham. Funeral Liturgy will be held at St James Major Catholic Church, 14608 Road 38, Sharbot Lake, on Wednesday, January 9 at 11 a.m. Donations to Parham United Church would be appreciated by the family.
