Alternative Education

Limestone Learning Foundation
The Limestone District School Board aims to provide all learners with life-long opportunities for success by offering alternative education experiences in a variety of community settings. These programs provide students with opportunities to earn credits towards the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and to develop the skills and confidence they need to re-enter the regular school system.

The Board offers alternative programming to support high-school-aged and adult students toward earning an OSSD, or who need a few courses to graduate, want to upgrade existing credits, earn credits while they work, or transition to college (students under age 21). Sites may offer a mix of independent and group learning and hands-on community connected opportunities.

Most alternative programming sites are connected to one of our secondary schools.
