The Ministry of Education has introduced an enhanced screening process for secondary students across Ontario.

As you know, all students must be screened for symptoms of COVID-19 before each school day. Students can use the online tool, or the printable/downloadable tool available on the board website. If students do not pass the screening, they are not to attend school, or take school bus transportation. Please follow the instructions provided within the screening tool, which may include self-isolation and potential testing at an assessment centre.

Beginning Monday, February 1, 2021, secondary students attending in-person learning in Limestone are expected to complete the LDSB COVID-19 Daily Screening Confirmation Form before attending school.

Students in the LDSB Secondary Virtual School do not have to complete this confirmation.

This COVID-19 Daily Screening Confirmation Form confirms students have completed and passed daily screening. Wherever possible, students should complete this form prior to arriving at school each day. A daily email reminder will also be sent to all students via their Limestone email.

If students are not able to complete the screener in advance, they will be required to fill out the electronic form immediately upon arrival at school. Efforts will be made to have a device available to complete the confirmation form.  Where it may not be possible to have a device available, paper copies of the confirmation form will be provided.

Please note that the Board is not collecting or storing health information, but simply confirming screening and the associated outcome.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and support as we continue to work together to keep our schools safe for staff and students.
