Summer Session (Secondary)

Limestone Learning Foundation

Summer Session is a great option for students who wish to complete an additional credit or who may need to upgrade a mark during the summer. Courses are offered for students currently in Grades 9 to 12.

The Limestone District School Board is offering virtual Summer Session from June 28 to July 26, 2021 with no classes on July 1, 2021. Students are not permitted to be absent on weekdays during that time.

Students can register for one e-learning summer session course. Registration closes on June 25, 2021. All courses are conditional on teacher availability and sufficient enrollment. Students will be notified prior to June 28, 2021 if the class is not running.

Summer Session Co-ops start on June 28, 2021 and can continue until August 13, 2021. Students taking co-op should contact their co-op teacher before registering.

For more information on course offerings, please review this infographic, or contact your Student Services (Guidance) Department. Access the online registration form below.

Important information for Summer Session Students:

LDSB students should begin to see their LDSB Summer Session course within Minds Online by the end of the day Saturday June 26, 2021.

Non-LDSB students will see the LDSB Summer Session course within their own school board’s D2L Brightspace environment on the same timeline. Non-LDSB students requiring technical support for accessing their own board’s learning platform will need to consult with their own board staff. LDSB staff do not have access to those environments.

All students enrolled in LDSB Summer Session will receive a welcome email by end of day Friday, June 25, 2021. The welcome email will direct students to the “Support Hub” where they will find a 15-minute lesson on plagiarism and other supports to show them how to use the various Brightspace tools to perform various course tasks.
