Read-A-Lot Summer Literacy Program

Limestone Learning Foundation

The Read-A-Lot Summer Literacy Program is a three-week intervention program for Limestone District School Board students finishing Senior Kindergarten to Grade 5. The program focuses on developing fundamental skills in reading and writing which will allow students to be more successful in the following school year.

For Summer 2024, the program will be delivered in-person and will run from July 8-26, 2024. Students must plan to attend for the entire three weeks. 

Registration: This is a referral program. Student Support Teachers (SSTs) will contact families directly.

Staffing: The program is taught by Instructors (qualified teachers), with a Tutor (university of college students) assigned to each class to assist. 

Fees: The Summer 2024 program is fully funded and offered at no cost to parents.

The Limestone District School Board is situated on traditional territories of the Anishinaabe & Haudenosaunee.
