The Limestone District School Board has many central departments that work together to provide the best learning experience for our students and support our staff. Business Services: Provides a broad range of financial and business functions including the management and administration of departments including Financial Services, Facility Services and Planning Services.
Communications: Provides a variety of internal and external communications services including community and media relations.
Director's Office: Provides educational leadership and direction to the system, and is responsible for implementing the policies and procedures of the Board, ensuring that the Board works within the parameters of the Education Act.
Educational Services (Special Education): Provides access to a range of programs and services, including Special Education, so students, regardless of exceptionality, may acquire knowledge and skills and self-confidence within a positive and caring and inclusive learning environment.
Facilities Services: Provides design, build, management, operation and repair services to facilities and properties under the jurisdiction of the Board, and includes operations, maintenance and construction services.
Financial Services: Provides support in preparation and administration of the annual budget and manages short and long-term financing requirements including banking services, and includes accounting, payroll, purchasing and benefits.
Human Resources: Provides a variety of services including recruitment, employee orientation, performance management, professional development, succession planning, labour relations, benefits administration, policy/procedure development and staff wellness.
Information Technology: Provides support for all data and electronic communications including classroom computers, networks and internet, business systems, student data including report cards, transcripts, and assessment data warehousing.
Planning Office: Provides support for school accommodation planning, enrolment projection and building leasing, and co-ordinates the necessary reporting of data to the Ministry of Education.
Program Department: Provides supports to schools through instructional coaching and professional learning, to develop engaging and innovative learning opportunities for students based on the Ontario Curriculum.
